I was using the To-Do list on my edge panel, and suddenly got an unskippable ad. What’s going on here?
This isn’t a cheap phone—I have an S23 Ultra. This feels like something Xiaomi would do, not Samsung. I even set up a DNS ad block when I got the phone. Could it have stopped working?

No, it’s an unlocked version. This is the first time I’ve seen an ad like this, and I’ve had the phone since August 2023.
Are you sure? I’ve never seen ads on my S22 Ultra, S23 Ultra, or S24 Ultra.

Which app exactly are you talking about? I don’t see any Samsung To-Do app on the app store or pre-installed on my phone.

Lots of apps can use the Edge Panel, but that one definitely isn’t from Samsung.

I found that app on the Google Play Store—it’s not from Samsung.

Malware isn’t really a thing for Android anymore. Apps are sandboxed, so they can’t mess with each other.

If the To-Do list in your image is what you’re talking about, that’s not a Samsung app.
