Why doesn't 45W charging work? Here's a simple fix

A while ago, I did some research to figure out why 45W charging wasn’t working as expected, and I found a fix. I’m posting this because I’ve gotten a lot of messages asking for the solution, even though I shared it in my original post. I get it, my post was long, so maybe not everyone saw it.

Anyway, here’s the fix:

USE A 240W RATED CABLE.
That’s it, really.

If you’re interested, you can check out my original post with more details here.

Note: This is based on my experience. Since I started using 240W rated cables, I haven’t had any issues with my Anker 313 45W chargers.

Thanks and see you next time

You’re supposed to use a 5amp cable. It doesn’t matter what the cable says about how many watts it can handle.

You’re free to try whatever works for you. I tested 100W (5amp 20v) cables, and they didn’t work for me. Once I got 240W cables, I didn’t face any issues anymore. But if 5amp cables work for you, that’s great.

I just use a Samsung 45W charger with its own 5amp cable. I haven’t had any problems at all. But if something goes wrong, I’ll try your solution.

I’ve had good results with 100W and higher rated cables. A lot of people forget to check the type of cable they’re using.

Thanks!

The 100W cable from Anker works perfectly for me.
