Hi all,
I’m planning to upgrade from my A54 (which I’m giving to a family member) but can’t decide between the S23 and the S24 (Exynos). My main priorities are smooth performance with no stutters and solid overall performance. I don’t game or take a lot of photos. I’m also considering whether the extended support for the S24 is worth it.
My previous phone was an A54 as well, and now I’m using the S24 Plus (Exynos) with no regrets. This Exynos chip is significantly better than the previous versions.
The only time it got hot was during the backup transfer with the Smart Switch app. Since then, there’s been no heating, and the performance has been excellent. It handles light tasks like social media, messaging, and YouTube effortlessly.
However, the battery life could be better. It’s acceptable, but not outstanding. Since I’m near an electrical outlet most of the day, it’s not a big issue for me.
Considering your phone needs, I think the S24 FE might be a good fit for you. It should come with a sales promotion when it’s released.
If you’re in the UK, there’s a major promotion on Samsung devices where you can get a set of FE earbuds, £100 cashback on the S23, and a Chromebook laptop with the S24.
If you’re opting for the base model, definitely go with the S23—it’s cheaper, has Snapdragon, and is just as stable and fast (I have it myself). But if you’re after an Ultra, go for the S24.
Any modem problems? I kept hearing about them but I’m quite skeptical as the A54 I’m using is exynos too and I haven’t encountered any problems.
