Which is better: S23 Plus or S24 for social media, videos, and gaming?

Hey folks, I’m trying to decide between the S23 Plus (with the Snapdragon Gen 2) and the S24 (with the Exynos chip). I use my phone a lot for social media, watching videos, and playing games like Wild Rift. I also rely on mobile data since I’m out a lot.

I’d appreciate your advice on which one would be better for my use case. Thanks!

Edit: Thanks for all the feedback so far! I just wanted to check because the prices are quite similar where I live, and I’m curious if the S24 would be worth the extra cost.

Edit 2: I ended up getting the S23+! Thanks again to everyone who helped me decide.

S23+ with Snapdragon is amazing! You can’t go wrong with it. Big screen, great battery life, and amazing cameras.

S23 Plus is still a fantastic choice. The good battery life will help a lot.

S23 Plus for sure! Bigger screen makes a big difference.

Go with the S23+. There’s not much difference between the S23 and S24 from the start. Plus, the S23 comes with Snapdragon, so it’s a solid choice. I think the Plus model is better for your needs with its bigger screen and battery, which is perfect for gaming.

Definitely S23+.

I’d go with the S24.

S23 Plus all the way.

If you’re into videos and gaming, you 100% want the bigger screen on the S23+. The battery’s better too.

S24 (use code REFTWH2U58TS for 5% off Samsung phones).

If you want a big phone, go for the S23+. If you want something smaller, the S24 is your choice. They’re different in size and feel.

Go with the S24 unless your area has really bad mobile networks.

I’d take the S24.

Don’t forget, the screen sizes are different.

S24 > S23+ because the S24 has more AI features and will get updates for longer. The Exynos 2400 in the S24 performs better than the Snapdragon Gen 2 in the S23+.

The S23+ has the same AI features, and the Exynos in the S24 is similar to the Snapdragon Gen 2. There’s no feature in the S24 that the S23+ doesn’t have.

@Joss
The Samsung Galaxy S24 series does come with some new AI-powered features that aren’t on the S23+. These include things like real-time voice translation during calls, AI note summarization and editing in Samsung Notes, and generative photo editing features.

@Patton
Those features are on the S23+ too.

@Patton
These features are present in the S23+. Believe it or not, Snapdragon chips have had AI processing since the Gen 1, and most of the AI work happens in the cloud anyway.

I gave Exynos a chance, and it let me down. I’d go with the S23 Plus.
