Hey folks, I’m trying to decide between the S23 Plus (with the Snapdragon Gen 2) and the S24 (with the Exynos chip). I use my phone a lot for social media, watching videos, and playing games like Wild Rift. I also rely on mobile data since I’m out a lot.
I’d appreciate your advice on which one would be better for my use case. Thanks!
Edit: Thanks for all the feedback so far! I just wanted to check because the prices are quite similar where I live, and I’m curious if the S24 would be worth the extra cost.
Edit 2: I ended up getting the S23+! Thanks again to everyone who helped me decide.
Go with the S23+. There’s not much difference between the S23 and S24 from the start. Plus, the S23 comes with Snapdragon, so it’s a solid choice. I think the Plus model is better for your needs with its bigger screen and battery, which is perfect for gaming.
S24 > S23+ because the S24 has more AI features and will get updates for longer. The Exynos 2400 in the S24 performs better than the Snapdragon Gen 2 in the S23+.

The S23+ has the same AI features, and the Exynos in the S24 is similar to the Snapdragon Gen 2. There’s no feature in the S24 that the S23+ doesn’t have.
@Joss
The Samsung Galaxy S24 series does come with some new AI-powered features that aren’t on the S23+. These include things like real-time voice translation during calls, AI note summarization and editing in Samsung Notes, and generative photo editing features.
@Patton
These features are present in the S23+. Believe it or not, Snapdragon chips have had AI processing since the Gen 1, and most of the AI work happens in the cloud anyway.
