You’re right, but I meant it’s the base model within the S23 series, not the Plus or Ultra. That’s what I meant.

Right, I just wanted to point out that you’re not getting a $200 A15. You’re getting a phone that’s a huge upgrade over your iPhone.
@Indigo
I wouldn’t say it’s really an upgrade over the 16 Pro Max, though. Maybe previous iPhones. The only Samsung phone I’d compare my S23 to is the Ultra S24. That phone is next level. It won MKBHD’s phone of the year.
I do my gaming on a larger screen. The Tab S9+ works great, and I can play PS2 and GameCube games with no issues. If you want it to work better, get a case with a kickstand and your favorite Bluetooth controller. I use the first-gen 8bitdo Ultimate Bluetooth Controller.
I love playing old Pokemon games like Pokemon White 2 for the NDS (that’s the one I’m playing now), but you can also play older and newer games, like those for the GBA or 3DS.
Genshin Impact, Asphalt Legends, and Fortnite (probably with a controller) are great choices.
Try GeForce Now or Xbox Cloud Gaming. You can add a snap-on controller to the phone, and play AAA games from Windows. It runs the games on their high-end servers and streams them to your device. I used to use Stadia this way before it shut down. The quality was fantastic, and I didn’t notice any lag.
If you like shooters, try COD Mobile. I play on medium settings, 120fps, and can game for hours. There are also a lot of good single-player games out there. Wuthering Waves or Genshin Impact for open-world exploration with good storylines. You could also try Minecraft, Dead Cells, Terrarium, and Nexomon, which is like a Pokemon game.
@Wilder
Is Diablo Immortal any good on the S23? I’ve heard good things about it, and I think it’s free to download. Also, I downloaded Nexomon and it looks awesome.

It’s great. Don’t forget, the S23 is a flagship phone, even though it’s about 2 years old. The performance is amazing and will stay great for at least 3-4 more years.
I tried playing Forza Motorsport 8, but there was a lot of stuttering and delay. Racing with that delay isn’t fun at all.
If you want, install a cloud gaming app like Xbox Cloud Gaming. Otherwise, the S23 can handle pretty much any game you throw at it. I’ve tried Fortnite at 60fps with Epic graphics (trust me, it works).
You could try a Gamesir X8 controller, or even an Xbox or DualSense controller with third-party clips to mount it to your phone.
