Recently, I saw an Apple presentation that made me appreciate how advanced Samsung products truly are. The new Apple Watch still lacks a blood pressure sensor, which my old Galaxy Active2 had, and the base model only features a 60Hz display. It’s astonishing how they continue to market outdated technology as new and somehow still get away with it. They must be one of the least innovative tech companies in recent years.
I’m just relieved they didn’t announce any more issues like removing the charger or headphone jack. The only change was an extra button for the camera.
As much as Apple has its flaws, one thing it does significantly better than Samsung is avoiding region restrictions. Apple Pay works seamlessly worldwide, unlike Samsung Wallet, which restricts bank and transit card functionality to specific regions. Additionally, SmartThings is so region-locked that adding a user from a different country is problematic, requiring them to create a new Samsung account. Samsung also lags behind in global warranty support, while Apple offers consistent service globally. Furthermore, Samsung’s LTE/5G bands are often restricted, leading to connectivity issues, whereas Apple supports a broader range of bands on every iPhone, ensuring better global service.
Yeah, it’s similar for me. The only areas where Apple outperforms Samsung are in third-party app and Instagram optimization; iOS excels in those aspects compared to Android/Samsung. Other than that, I find iPhone updates often nonsensical. It’s outrageous that base iPhones cost €959 and still come with a 60Hz display and a 3000mAh
Yeah, don’t count on it. Samsung is copying everything Apple does these days. That includes omission of features, doing almost nothing new, inflating prices for no reason, and elevating their service costs to Apple level while providing nowhere near the same quality.
Samsung is still head and shoulders above Apple, though. Just not sure for how much longer.
I’m sure this won’t be received well, because half of this sub will just blindly support anything Samsung does. Not very different from the Apple cultists TBH.
