Running low on storage for games on Galaxy S22 … Can I add more space?

I love gaming on my phone, it’s super convenient! I have a laptop, but the phone just runs games better. Now I’m out of space. Can I upgrade storage on my Galaxy S22? (Not the ultra).

You could use a flash drive to move stuff over, or maybe try a cloud storage option. But for your phone’s built-in storage, the 128GB can’t be upgraded.

What’s cloud storage exactly?

@Miller
We learned clouds were just vapor, but actually, they’re built from huge data centers! The government just hides the truth. Some say they even store secret stuff up there.

Yep, that name definitely doesn’t fit here!

@Miller
Cloud storage just means services like Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox where you put files online to save space on your phone. You can access them anywhere with internet.

So if I put my funny pics from this forum on OneDrive, I can still get them on my phone easily?

@Miller
I can’t believe you haven’t tried cloud storage yet! If you’ve got a Google account, you already have Google Drive. Just upload stuff there, and it’s available on any device with your account. Might be good to keep a backup on your phone, but these services rarely lose data anymore.

@Dru
Got it! Thanks, kind stranger!

Doesn’t matter if it’s the Ultra or not, storage can’t be expanded. You just have to be selective and clear out stuff you don’t use when space is low.

Bummer! Guess I’ll have to delete a game then.

@Miller
In my experience, if you save logins and have good internet, it’s easy to keep space clear. My 128GB has lasted two years fine with downloading and deleting big games.

What does ‘IME’ mean? Also, I’m using big games like Genshin, HSR, Dokkan, and Minecraft.

@Miller
It stands for ‘In my experience.’

Ah, thanks! I still have 16GB left after those games, but was hoping to download another big one. That’s why I wanted to know if I could add more space.

Try moving other stuff, like photos or non-game apps, to a flash drive or cloud to clear up space for games.
