I’ve been using Samsung phones for almost 10 years without big issues. But last November, I got the Samsung A34 5G, which launched earlier in March 2023. The first 7 months went great, and I was happy with the performance.
Then one day, I woke up to find strange code on the screen, and all my data was corrupted. I contacted Samsung Support, and they said I had to do a factory reset, meaning I lost everything. I did it, and the phone worked fine for a week, but now it crashes every time I try using it. It freezes if the battery gets to 30% or lower.
I’m frustrated. My older Samsung phones like the Galaxy S5 and Galaxy M30 lasted fine for years. Now I’m wondering if Samsung is reducing the quality of its phones to make people upgrade more often. Or is my phone just broken?
It seems like you got a bad device. It’s not a plan to sabotage; sometimes electronics just fail. You should either replace it or get it repaired. If it’s still acting up, it’s clearly not reliable.
I have an A22 5G, and it had the same issue. Honestly, you won’t get the best quality with the A series. Even the A55 isn’t great. I’ve used many A series models, and they all started lagging after about 2 years, no matter how many resets or fixes I tried. If you want better quality, go for an S series with Snapdragon. If it’s too expensive, look for older models. I think the S23 is still a good deal, and I’m getting one this week.

Yeah, I’m not sure what’s up with the A series now. I’ve seen a lot of people say they have similar issues. But hey, they usually last a year at least… haha. I’m thinking of getting a new phone this Black Friday if there’s a good deal, you should too!
