Is S21 ultra still relevant in 2024?

Hi everyone,
I’m looking to buy a used phone, and it seems pretty “affordable.”
What are your thoughts?

For a good price, it’s definitely a solid choice. I’d recommend replacing the battery if it doesn’t already have a new one. Many refurbished phones come with fresh batteries, but that’s not always guaranteed. Replacing it yourself is simple and costs around $30.

If you’re not after the fastest phone available and can get a great deal, it’s an excellent option. It’s still fast enough for most tasks, including gaming, and the cameras outperform most mid-range phones.

I can’t comment on the S21, but I still have an S20 Ultra, and if it weren’t for a cracked screen, I wouldn’t even consider upgrading. The battery life is still good, it’s super fast, and the camera is fantastic. Plus, with a microSD card and cloud storage (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox), I have no storage issues at all.

I’ve had mine for several years and still love it. If the battery wasn’t nearly dead, I wouldn’t see any need to upgrade. No issues with speed, compatibility, or storage.

I considered upgrading to the S24 Ultra but couldn’t get excited about the differences, so I stuck with my S21 Ultra and a power bank.

I just wish Samsung (UK) made official battery replacements easier to access. I can’t seem to find a way to do it officially, and based on YouTube videos, I’d likely break the glass or disconnect a small cable if I tried it myself.

I’m still using my Day 1 S21 Ultra. I’ve never been gentle with it and often charge it to 100%, sometimes more than once a day. It’s starting to show its age—battery life is poor, and there’s significant screen burn-in. If I’m away from a charger, I can only get about 2 hours of screen time.

By the time the S25 Ultra is released, I’ll be ready to upgrade.

I’m not interested in a battery replacement. Five years with a phone (when the S25 Ultra comes out) is the longest I’ve ever kept one, and I’m perfectly fine with that.
