How can I get sound from my Xbox to my soundbar?

Here’s my setup:
Xbox Series X
Samsung HW-C450 300W Sound Bar
Samsung Odyssey G5 27" Monitor

I need to get sound from my Xbox to my soundbar, but how do I do it?

The Xbox only has HDMI output, the monitor has a regular headphone jack, and the soundbar has an optical input.

Any ideas? Thanks!

I don’t have an Xbox, so I can’t say for sure, but I have a PS4 that connects to my TV through HDMI. I use an optical cable from the soundbar to the TV, and it sends the sound through both the TV and the soundbar. This might work for you too, but I’m not totally sure if the setup is the same.

Haha, that’s the issue. My TV only has an aux out, not optical.

Ah, sorry about that, man.

I was thinking about getting a converter and just plugging it in to see if it works, haha.

Not a bad idea. But can you try connecting it via Bluetooth? I know PlayStation has issues with audio devices, but hopefully Microsoft won’t be as picky about it.

I’m guessing the monitor doesn’t support eARC, right? Or does it have a Wi-Fi connection to the soundbar? Sorry, I only have experience with Samsung TVs, not monitors.

On the back, there’s:

HDMI IN
Headphone Jack
USB (service only)
DP IN
