Hello everyone,
I’ve been waiting for the new iPhone announcement, but the lineup has left me completely unimpressed. With the recent release of the new Galaxy Watch Ultra and earbuds, I’m more tempted to switch to Android. I know my next phone won’t be an iPhone. Are there any major rumors about the S25 Ultra that might convince me to hold off on switching now?
It’s the same phone as last year’s—Samsung stopped pushing boundaries after Huawei’s ban. If you want a flagship with top-tier 2024 hardware, go for the X100 Ultra.
The more I hear about the S25, the more it looks like just a minor upgrade. You should aim to grab an S24 on Black Friday instead.
Wait until January—either you’ll be impressed by the S25 Ultra, or you’ll be able to get the S24 Ultra at a much lower price. It’s a win-win.
Grab the S24 Ultra when the S25 is released, as prices will drop, and plan to keep it for at least 3 years. The differences between year-old models are minor, despite what Samsung’s marketing claims.
My 4-year-old M series phone has been struggling—poor battery life, no updates, no storage, and issues like USB disconnects and the audio jack randomly triggering buttons. The rumored features of the S25/S25 Ultra don’t seem worth waiting another 5-6 months, especially since my phone could fail any day. Plus, there are sales and promotions in my country where I can get the S20 FE or Galaxy Buds 2 Pro for free with the S24 Ultra, so I’m going for it. I’m just disappointed that the 512GB model has been unavailable for months here, but at least I got a deal.
Normally, I’d suggest waiting if you already have a Samsung flagship, but it’s really up to you. Personally, I’d go for it. I couldn’t wait to ditch my 13 Pro Max for the S23 Ultra when it launched, and those 15 months with the 13PM felt long. iOS just isn’t for me.
