My issue with my brand new £800+ phone? The alarm clock! What’s going on, Samsung?
Despite using Do Not Disturb, having a full charge, and setting 4 separate alarms, none of them made a sound or vibrated. I tested it by setting one to go off 2 minutes later, and that worked fine.
There are plenty of similar complaints online, suggesting a real issue with the phone potentially killing the alarm while in sleep mode.
Is it as simple as downloading another alarm app? Why isn’t it working as it should? When you spend this much on a flagship phone, you don’t expect something as basic as the alarm clock to be a deal-breaker.
Your phone isn’t shutting off the alarm; the alarm volume is likely turned down. This is a common issue on Android. Before going to bed, go to the Clock app and check the volume settings to ensure it’s set properly.
No way, I had the same issue the first morning after setting up my S24 Ultra! I transferred everything from my iPhone without any problems. I double-checked the alarm before bed, ensuring it was on and the volume was high, but it didn’t go off. I’m not sure what went wrong, but after turning the alarm off and on, it’s been working fine since.
You might want to check if the clock app is being put to sleep for some reason.
Go to Settings > Apps > Clock > Battery and set it to unrestricted.
I use an app called Sleep As Android to track my sleep, which also has alarms, and I’ve never had any issues with it. However, I’m still using the S22 Ultra.
