Anyone here use a caseless phone?

I recently decided to take the case off my S24U and after two days, I completely got used to it. At first, it felt kind of slippery and awkward to hold, but now when I put the case back on, it feels bulky and uncomfortable. For the screen, I just use Samsung’s anti-reflective protector to keep it scratch-free. I don’t plan on putting the case back on anytime soon. Does anyone else go caseless? (By the way, I do have Samsung Care.)

I clicked on this post because I was wondering what a ‘cashless’ phone is.

Haha, yeah I didn’t even notice that typo! Thanks for pointing it out.

With Samsung Care, I guess you can afford to take the risk.

I’ve never been a fan of using cases or screen protectors. If you’re careful with your phone, it should be fine. Just don’t drop it!

I go caseless with a hydrogen film protector. I just can’t deal with scratches on the screen.

I tried going caseless for a few days around the house. Maybe it’s because my hands get oily quickly, but it felt way too slippery. I usually go for thin rubber cases that have good grip. They do make the phone feel bigger and harder to hold with one hand, but the grip helps a lot. I do like the lighter weight without the case though.

I wish I could go caseless, but my work is pretty dirty, and my phone falls a lot. I’m scared of damaging it, especially since my warranty expired for my S22U… So now I’m stuck using cases.

To be honest, a warranty wouldn’t really cover a drop anyway.

I just bought one of those metal bumper cases with two pieces: a metal part for the bottom corners and another part that covers the top corners and wraps around the cameras. I also have glass covers for each of the camera lenses. I never use a screen protector. I never put my phone in a pocket with anything else—learned that the hard way when I scratched my plastic screen protector with a candy wrapper. The S24U has a screen hardness of seven, so I’m hoping these bumpers will keep the phone from sitting directly on surfaces (to avoid moisture). I don’t know if I’ll stick with it, but I’m already disappointed that this clear case started yellowing after just six months. It might just come down to how comfortable I feel without a case on it. But I’m tired of spending money on a nice phone just to cover it up with a bulky black or yellow-ish case.

I decided to return my Caudabe Sheath, and while searching for a new case, I went caseless for a few days. I really got used to it, but when I went to Best Buy to check out cases, none of them felt right—they just ruined the feel of the phone. I have insurance, but I didn’t want to risk scratching it up prematurely, so I got a Pitaka case, which is the thinnest case I’ve ever used. I mostly need a case just for when I toss the phone in cup holders or on the dashboard since I drive trucks and need to use my phone for GPS. As for my screen protector, it didn’t last one day. The phone fell out of the cup holder and shattered. I peeled it off and just decided to say ‘screw it’—I hate film protectors, and the glass ones messed with my fingerprint reader. The phone fell a few more times—one time on a metal pipe and another time on a hard surface—but I can’t find any micro-scratches. The only damage is a small scuff under the camera bump, which makes me wish I’d gotten titanium gray instead of black.

I only go caseless with my secondary phone… I guess that’s because it’s hard to find a case for a brand that disappeared in 2018.

Wait, are you saying Samsung died in 2018?
