Samsung is advertising their Black Friday phone sales right now, but prices seem higher than they were since the Z Fold 6 launched. A 512GB Z Fold 6 with an S22 Ultra trade-in used to be around $800 with an employee discount, depending on color. Now, they’re asking for $1097, even with the same discount.
I don’t see the logic in calling these sales ‘deals’ if the prices are higher!

I just posted about a price drop on the S24 FE at Best Buy for $574.99. Do you think I should grab it now, or might Black Friday drop it even more? Need some advice here!
If you’re an employee, you probably know Samsung’s deals change daily. Even the ‘Black Friday’ deals shift around.
I watched prices for a while, traded my S22 Ultra for an S24 Ultra, and got a good deal. It was probably better than Black Friday discounts.
@Nico
I’m not an employee, just hoping for a decent price on the Z Fold 6. Fingers crossed for a good deal.
Last year, Best Buy had the Z Fold 5 for $999 around Black Friday.
They’ve been running ads for Black Friday. I saw a promo for the Buds Pro 3 with £60 off, so I asked why the sale wasn’t live yet. They said it’s set for Black Friday.
I’m watching for a good price on an S10+ or an Ultra tablet. There’s a decent trade-in deal now, but I’m not sure if I should go for it or hold out.
Checked yesterday and saw an extra $100 off on the Z Fold 6 today. These discounts are all over the place!
Everything’s pricier lately, thanks to inflation.

Inflation isn’t really a factor here when these phones just came out. It’s just a trick—they jack up the price before a big sale and then ‘discount’ it. A lot of sites are known for doing this.

The Z Fold 6 went up to $1900 this year. Those so-called ‘pre-order’ prices have pretty much stayed the same since launch.
