Why I am planning to switch from iPhone to Samsung

Hey everyone,

I’ve been using Apple since the iPhone 4, mainly because people judge me if I don’t have an iPhone, calling me broke and stuff. I’ve had the iPhone 4, 7, and 11, but I decided to wait for something that truly changes. When I checked out the new chips, I noticed the specs are almost the same, except for the name. The only major changes are the camera, the phone’s number, and sometimes the chip.

The iPhone 15’s production cost is just over $500, but they sell it for 1300€. People praise the new cameras, but they’re mostly improved by software, and the camera itself costs between 80-120€. When I compared the iPhone 15 to the Galaxy S20 Ultra, which is 460€ on Amazon, the S20 Ultra has a 40MP camera, while the iPhone 15 has 48MP. Sure, it’s a bit better, but keep in mind the iPhone costs 1300€ while the S20 is 460€.

I don’t care if people call me broke for using a Samsung—I’m done with this nonsense.

Just switched from iPhone 15 Plus to Galaxy Z Flip6, Honestly, I am loving it even though its taken me some time to adjust. Also, in a strange way, I feel like this is how a smartphone is supposed to be in 2024. I love my Flip, and I look forward to the future of this series and other foldables as well.

I use two phones daily, the iPhone 15 Pro and the S23 Ultra. I got the iPhone as a secondary work phone, and while it looks nice, my S23 is far more efficient in every aspect. iOS doesn’t even have a proper spam-blocking feature (you can only block notifications from unknown numbers). The iPhone iOS hype feels like just marketing, and honestly, even some iPhone users act immature, both in person and on iPhone forums.

Finally, someone realizing the truth. You’ve been filling Apple’s pockets for years, letting them drain you just to show off a logo that doesn’t make you any better than anyone else. They’ve sold you a status symbol, not a phone. The reality? They’re laughing all the way to the bank while you defend them as if they care.

Do you want to pay for a brand or real performance? Samsung gives you more value, no question. True confidence is not letting society decide what phone you carry. You switch for the best performance and value, not because some followers tell you what’s trendy. Enjoy your Samsung while they keep overpaying for Apple’s “innovation.”

Honestly, Samsung is pretty much the same as Apple these days—they haven’t really innovated with their recent phones. Go try out One UI in a store and see if it’s something you’d actually want to keep using.

I’ve used Androids my whole life, and recently got my first flagship, the S24 Ultra. I do think Apple has a better overall ecosystem with things like Apple Pay and iCloud. The Samsung camera struggles with moving objects, especially compared to my girlfriend’s 13 Pro. I’ve been waiting for the iPhone 16 and was thinking of getting a discounted 15 Pro. Just my opinion—everyone prefers what works best for them.

I can’t understand why anyone would call you broke for using a Samsung when they cost as much as an iPhone. The same goes for the higher-end Pixel phones, too.

The ones considering a phone as a status for being rich are brain washed by companies, and companies know it that’s why they put high pricing, they know people will still buy it.
