Hi everyone, I just got myself an S24 last week at a great price, and it arrived yesterday. Now I’m looking for a screen protector (I’d prefer glass over film, unless there’s no real benefit) and a case.
I’ve been browsing Amazon but there are so many options, and I’m not sure what to look for to tell which one is better than the other.
That’s why I’m asking for your help. What screen protector and case would you suggest? Preferably ones that are available in Germany, either on Amazon or at Saturn.
Can someone explain why we have to struggle with screen protectors?
Why isn’t it just included when the phone is made?
I’ve seen some good glass protectors on Refurbed.de but they come with an annoying ad and it’s hard to find one without buying a phone with it. I’m not sure if they sell it separately.

You don’t really need to stress over screen protectors since the glass on the phone is pretty durable, though it’s not totally scratch resistant. A tempered glass screen protector adds some extra durability and can help prevent cracking if you drop it, but I’m not sure how much more protection it actually provides. There are drop test videos out there that might help you decide. The screen is also better protected against scratches. I traded in my old phone a few months ago for my S24, and before shipping it, I took off the screen protector, and the glass looked like new. The screen protector was still in great condition too, no noticeable scratches or anything, but that’s beside the point.
Don’t go for the cheap route when getting a screen protector, especially if it’s tempered glass. I made that mistake and my fingerprint sensor stopped working. I had to spend a bit more to get a better one. Someone on here recommended Spigen or Whitestone Dome, and I went with Spigen. My fingerprint sensor works perfectly now with the tempered glass EZ Fit from them. I also got their Rigged Armor case and I really like how it feels. I’m pretty sure you can get this brand on Amazon in your country.
