Sticking to Samsung just because of OHO+... Anyone else feel the same?

I’ve been using the S23+ for a while now and was thinking about switching to a different phone. The only problem is that I’ve gotten so used to my OHO+ setup, that going back to normal Android navigation feels like it would be a major downgrade. Anyone else feel the same way?

What is OHO?

OHO+ is a GoodLock app that lets you set up custom gestures. I have it set up like this:

Swipe in from either edge: back
Swipe diagonally down: edge panel
Swipe diagonally down and hold: switch to last opened app
Swipe diagonally up: home screen
Swipe diagonally up and hold: open app switcher.

It’s way better than standard Android gesture navigation.

Hrm, maybe I need to check this out again.

@Zyler
Also, if you swipe up from the bottom edge and hold for a second, it shows the recent apps in a list format.

@Zyler
I have a different setup that works well too:

Swipe in from either edge: back
Swipe in from edge and hold: switch to last opened app
Swipe diagonally down: edge panel
Swipe diagonally down and hold: quick tools
Swipe diagonally up: home screen
Swipe diagonally up and hold: open app switcher.

@Zyler
OHO+ has been a life-saver for me. I have small hands, and the S24U is a bit big. Since I started using OHO+, it’s so much easier to navigate. I now take screenshots from either side by swiping down, and I don’t have to reach for the sound button anymore. I just swipe left or right and hold to bring up the quick panel. It’s made everything much more convenient!

One hand operation. Samsung’s version is way better than Google’s.

I thought OHO was a car!

Ah, thanks for clearing that up.

I’ve been using OHO+ since I had the Galaxy J5 Prime. It was the first GoodLock app I downloaded, and I don’t think I’ll ever switch away from it.

I agree with you! I used to have an iPhone Xs and got used to swiping for going back. After switching to the Galaxy A52s and using OHO+, I couldn’t go back. Now I have the S24, and I can’t imagine using it without it.

OHO+ is a game-changer. Coming from an iPhone, it helped me get used to Android and made it even better. I missed being able to launch search easily, just like on iPhone.

I set it up like this:

Swipe in: back
Swipe in and hold: quick tools
Swipe down left/right: notification shade
Swipe down and hold left/right: search
Swipe up and hold right: ChatGPT
Swipe up and hold left: Ford app to start my car.

@Terry
Launching search from anywhere to switch between apps is such a time-saver.

I used OHO+ on my M52. Using other Android phones now feels like a downgrade. I was thinking about buying the Samsung S23 next.

I can’t imagine navigating my phone without OHO+. I have it fully customized and I’ll never switch away from it.

Not having this app is the worst part about using a Pixel. I tried using the Quick Cursor and Edge Panels apps, but they’re nowhere near as good as OHO+. OHO+ is by far the most useful app I’ve had on any phone.

I can’t imagine my life without modes and routines, OHO+ and multi-window for all apps. Love it!

OHO+ is definitely one of the main reasons I’m sticking with my phone. Thanks for reminding me to set it up again, I lost my configuration a year ago.

100%! OHO+ is a must-have.
