There are leaks suggesting the S25 Slim might be coming soon. Some leaks even say it could have the same cameras as the S25 Ultra. If that’s true, why not just make it an S25 Ultra but smaller and call it the S25 Note? EDIT: I meant with it having an S Pen.
Unless it has an S Pen, it can’t be a Note
The Note series was always known for its square design and S Pen support. This phone seems more like a successor to the Galaxy Alpha than a Note. Maybe this is Samsung trying to move away from its conservative design style.
The Note series was defined by having an S Pen silo, the biggest screen and battery, and a squared design. It wasn’t known for its cameras, except for a few exceptions like the Note8 and Note20 Ultra. A smaller, thinner device with a focus on cameras but no S Pen doesn’t feel like a Note at all.
@Rory
Yes, it would have an S Pen.

Is there confirmation that the Slim model will have an S Pen? Seems like making the phone thinner could be difficult with a pen.
Why do we even need a ‘slim’ model?

I think it’s an experiment, just to see if it sells well.

But why a new slim model? If the regular ‘S’ models are already compact enough, why create a whole new line? And if they’re going to keep the same battery size, it doesn’t make sense.

They probably just want to add more phones to their lineup. Like, why did the A12 have an extra variant called the A12 Nacho?

It’s all about regional variants and flooding the market. But that doesn’t seem like the right move for a flagship phone.
This is going to be a terrible idea. They’ll make the battery smaller, and you’ll have a bigger phone that lasts 3 hours on a charge. I don’t think it will happen though, but I’m not sold on the idea of an iPhone Air being anything special either.
Without the S Pen, Samsung phones are useless. There are better brands out there if you don’t care about the S Pen. I’m sticking with Samsung because of it.

The Z Flip and Galaxy S/S+ are good even without the S Pen.

This is just my opinion, but I’m sticking with my S23 because it’s the only good small Android out there. The Pixel Pro 9 doesn’t appeal to me because of its UI.
No, this is not a Note phone.
Samsung is really confusing me right now.

Like always…
“Note” makes long-term Samsung users expect a stylus. “Slim” is more about being thin, and that doesn’t fit with the Note name.

I’m saying it should have an S Pen.
