Should I Upgrade from S24U to S25U or Wait for S26U?

I currently have the S24U and I’m thinking about upgrading to the S25U once it’s released. Some YouTubers have already shared specs for the S25U, but since it’s not out yet, I’m wondering if upgrading now is a good idea or if I should wait for the S26U instead.

I’m planning to upgrade as well. With trade-in values, it’s worth it to me to upgrade each year.

For the US, upgrading yearly works out about the same cost-wise as waiting every 3 years, especially if the trade-in values are good and you know how to use Samsung’s discounts.

No, I wouldn’t upgrade unless you really need the new features.

Honestly, it depends on what you’re looking for. Battery life might not be much better between the S24U and S25U. After a few updates, the S25U could also drain quickly.

If you can get a big discount with a trade-in, then sure, go ahead. Otherwise, I wouldn’t bother, there’s not much of an upgrade.

Unless you really want a better ultrawide camera and more processing power.

The S25U seems like it will only have a small design change and some minor camera upgrades. You likely won’t notice enough of a difference. Plus, the software updates will be available on a lot of Samsung devices, not just the S25U.

But it’s your decision.

The S25U only seems to have a slightly better camera and maybe some performance tweaks, but that’s it. You could keep the S24U until it’s no longer receiving updates, which could be for up to seven years. It’ll still be a good phone.

Unfortunately, the battery upgrade was pushed back to the S26U. It’ll still have the same 5000 mAh battery and 45W charging. It might be slightly lighter, but it’s still a big phone. Don’t expect too much of a change.

You can keep the S24U for at least 4 years before thinking about upgrading. I’m upgrading from the S21 to the S25U and will keep it for 7-8 years.

Actually, my S24U drains pretty fast. Within 10 hours, the battery is down, which is annoying. Also, I’ve heard the S25U is lighter than the S24U.

There probably won’t be a big difference in battery life. If you have the money, go ahead, but the returns are getting smaller. You could trade in or sell your S24U since it’s still relatively new.

Just kidding, go for the S25U once it comes out and enjoy it for a while!
