I bought the S23U last year, and the port got damaged. I use the S Pen a lot, and I definitely take advantage of the 30x zoom. There’s a $160 difference for me between the S24+ and S24U. I’m really curious about your experiences with both. I need to decide quickly. The price difference is a big deal. I could just buy a stylus from Amazon, but what do you think?
If you want to stay within budget, why not just get the S23U fixed? That might be the better option instead of spending more.
I went with the S24+ because I don’t use the S Pen or need the better camera. If those are important to you, though, then the S24U is the obvious choice. A regular stylus on the S24+ won’t do as much as the BT stylus will. Plus, if money is tight, fixing the USB-C port might be a good call.
Do you still have the S23 Ultra? If so, maybe wait for the S25 Ultra to come out. You can wirelessly charge your S23 Ultra to 100%, then trade it in for the S25 Ultra!
I’ve got the S24U and I’m really happy with it. I don’t use the S Pen much, but it’s good to have it sometimes. Battery life is solid, and they say they’ll improve it even more with One UI 7.0. If the size of the S24U doesn’t bother you, I think it’s a great option.
A stylus from Amazon won’t have all the features of the S Pen. It won’t work with air actions or integrate as well. The S24U is one of the most complete phones out there. If the S24+ has an Exynos chip, I’d avoid it, even with the Snapdragon. The Ultra is worth it.

What happens if your S Pen breaks or gets lost? Can you really buy a replacement directly from Samsung?
You should just get the Google Pixel 9 instead!
