Is preordering worth it? What do you think?

I’ve been keeping up with reviews of the S24 Ultra since it came out, and I’m thinking about getting the S25 Ultra. But I’m worried about some quality control issues that people have mentioned when they preorder.

I want to get the phone as soon as possible since my Flip 3 is pretty worn out, with a green line on the screen. Plus, I’m interested in the preorder perks. Any advice on what to do?

I wouldn’t say it’s bad to preorder, but a lot of people hold off until they know what issues might come up with a new release.

True, there’s still some uncertainty about overheating, and I’m curious if Samsung has any plan for that.

@Finnley
What overheating are you talking about?

Wait, which Galaxy phone has the SD 8 Elite overheating problem?

@Aubrey
None of the Galaxy models have it yet, but the Realme GT7 Pro, which has the SD 8 Elite, was heating up a bit during performance testing.

Whoa, sounds like it’s got too much power!

@Aubrey
Yeah, it’s powerful. It doesn’t quite match Apple’s A18 Pro for single-core, but it’s ahead in multi-core and handles graphics well too.

I’ve read that the SD 8 Elite heats up a lot. Here’s an article I found: Snapdragon 8 Elite overheating dims Galaxy S25 Ultra excitement - Sammy Fans

Don’t stress. There’s a 1-year warranty, so if there’s an issue, you can replace or return it.

You’ll always hear complaints when a new phone launches. People with problems speak up more. I’ve preordered the S10, S20 Ultra, S22 Ultra, and S24 Ultra without any issues.

Just my experience, though.

@Charlie
How did you like the S22 for everyday stuff?

I’ve got the S24 Ultra and Galaxy Watch Ultra from launch day—no issues with either one.

I grab a new one every launch, never had a single problem.

Same here, but every 2 years. It bugs me how some people use phones that are 5+ years old.

Not everyone can afford a new phone that often. It’s kinda out of touch to assume everyone can.

@Phoenix
So if I work hard and buy what I want, that’s entitlement? I’ve even swapped phones twice in one year because I didn’t like one.

Also, mind your words better.

Look, I’m not from the US, so I’m not into your politics, and English isn’t my first language, so sorry if my grammar isn’t perfect. My point was that not everyone can afford a new phone every year. Life’s tough in many countries, not just in the US. Saying it ‘annoys’ you is a bit insensitive.

@Phoenix
I’m British, so I can say what I want if it annoys me. Phones should be upgraded every couple of years—aren’t they important enough? If you get offended by what I say, maybe stay offline. People’s feelings aren’t my concern.

Oh, and the US does impact the world, so maybe care a little.
