Samsung devices often have poorly tuned speakers. But with the right EQ, you can make them sound great with fuller bass and smoother treble.
I’ve been creating EQ presets using the Poweramp EQ app. It’s a paid app, but the sound quality is way better than the Sound Assistant EQ. I’ve tuned my Tab S10 Ultra, Tab S8+, and S23 Ultra, and these presets should work for other models as well.
Here’s the link for the presets and settings: Poweramp EQ - Google Drive
Poweramp EQ has a lot of settings, but if you want a quicker setup, you can just import my settings. Go to Settings, then tap “Import Settings/Data” and select the file.
Once you have that, go to the main EQ screen, tap the 3 dots on the bottom right, and then tap Import to add the presets file. You can then hold any preset and tap ‘Assign’ to select Speaker mode. You can also assign EQs to headphones or other devices.
One thing to keep in mind: Poweramp EQ works for music apps. However, if you want it to work with video apps like YouTube, you’ll need to enable DUMP permissions. For this, go to Settings > Equalizer > Advanced Player Tracking. The instructions are there, and you’ll need a PC, a folder with ADB tools, and USB debugging enabled. It’s a one-time setup, but it’s totally worth it. All EQ apps need this permission to work fully.
Hope this helps! It made a huge difference on my S23 Ultra and Tab S10 Ultra.
