How do you know if a factory reset worked?

Can someone tell me how to confirm if a factory reset is complete?

Phone

  • After resetting, does it show a “Welcome” screen with a blue button?

Watch

  • Does it show a “Let’s go” screen in yellow after a reset?

Before doing a factory reset, you should manually delete any personal files. Also, using a cleaner app like Norton can help. I always do the reset twice to make sure everything is gone. There are also apps that might help with this.

I’ve already done the factory reset on both the phone and the watch. Now the phone shows the “Welcome” screen, and the watch shows the “Let’s go” screen when I power them on.

That’s completely normal. You’re good to go.

If you’re seeing the setup process like it’s a brand-new device, the reset worked. Usually, you also get a warning during the reset that says all data will be erased.
