Got a Galaxy S24... Now What?

So here’s the deal: a guy owed me some money but instead of cash, he gave me a Galaxy S24, which is locked (probably stolen). I can’t find the original owner, so how do I reset this thing to use it?

Hmm… I wanna hear the whole story!

What if his friend just popped the SIM out of the S24, it’s still under contract, and handed it to him? It could be sketchy, but maybe that’s an option?

You can’t. There’s a reason for that.

Wait… so did you buy it like your title says, or did you get stolen goods like your body suggests?

That’s really fishy…

Nope, can’t do it.

It can be bypassed, though.

So how do I find the original owner? There’s no SIM card in the tray.

Take the IMEI from the back, head over to imei.info, plug it in, check if it’s blacklisted, and see which provider it’s tied to. If it’s stolen, just return it. No one here is gonna tell you how to bypass security features meant to prevent theft.
