Hey all! Hope you’re having a great weekend and enjoying the holidays!
So I got my Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra today. It was part of a trade-in deal where I swapped my Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. But after trying it on, I realized how much I relied on the bezel from my old watch. And to top it off, I found out that the new Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra doesn’t support the Facer app for custom watch faces (I’ve got a ton of faces I can no longer use!).
Because of that, I switched back to my Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. After looking into it more, I realized the differences between the two watches aren’t really that huge—mainly just the design, slightly better battery life, and improved sensors.
So here’s the question: should I keep the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra, return it, and wait for the possible Galaxy Watch 8 Ultra with a bezel? Or just stick with my old Galaxy Watch 6 Classic?
Just to let you know, I got the Ultra in a big trade-in deal and paid only $176 for it.
Keep the Watch 6 if you feel like the Ultra isn’t really doing it for you. It’s not worth it to switch if it doesn’t fit your needs. I got rid of my Watch 5 Classic because I hated the raised touch bezel. The Ultra does have a bigger screen though. I think the switch was worth it for me.
Oh man, I forgot about Facer! But it doesn’t seem like a huge deal for me not having that on my Ultra. I’m also getting a good trade-in value for my Watch 6 Classic, so for me, the Ultra still works. I really like the battery life, and the band size and attachment process are pretty nice too. I don’t know if this is helpful for you, but it just shows how personal these decisions can be.
