Did anyone else get the Samsung S24 Ultra for $656?

I got the S24 Ultra this weekend, and the deal was too good to pass up. I was waiting for the S25, but at $656 without a trade-in, I couldn’t say no. Now I still have my old phone to trade in later—maybe even for the S25.

Do you think the deals might get better, or was this the sweet spot? Either way, I’m off to find a good case for it.

@Dayton
Where do we find these promo codes?

The link is usually in the forum details.

Nice deal. I got the S24 Ultra 512GB in titanium orange during the Veterans Day sale. It came with a free Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 47mm and cost me $507 after trading in my S22 Ultra. I was also considering waiting for the S25, but I’m worried tariffs might make it pricier.

@Paxton
I don’t think Korean manufacturers will be hit by those tariffs.

The new US administration seems to be targeting all Asian imports. Everything overseas will likely be affected to some degree. Remember the tariffs from the 1930s? They didn’t exactly go well.

@Paxton
That’s a huge overreach. The last time this administration was in office, there was no major tariff issue with South Korea. Also, companies can apply for exemptions. Tariffs are more of a bargaining tool than anything else.

@Zhi
Alright, believe what you want. No point in arguing here.

If you weren’t a veteran, I’d have a sharper reply. But thanks for your service!

No more to add. Just know that history has its lessons, even if we ignore them.

@Paxton
I’ve been thinking about getting the Ultra too. I miss having the S Pen. Right now, I have the S24+, but the trade-in deals might make it worth switching.

I didn’t expect much difference between the S22 Ultra and the S24 Ultra, but it feels like a whole new experience. Funny enough, I barely use the S Pen even though I buy these models for that feature.

@Paxton
I traded my S22 Ultra for the S24+ because I prefer flat screens. The Ultra was too expensive after trade-ins, but I miss the S Pen. I use it a lot to avoid fingerprints on the screen.

I just searched for ‘Samsung promo codes’ on Google. CouponFollow had the ones I used. You can stack multiple codes on one purchase.

It’s wild how much cheaper phones are in the US compared to places like Italy. I got my S24+ 512GB at launch for €980. After that, the price shot up to €1280 and has stayed there all year, except for small discounts here and there. Even during Black Friday, I doubt it’ll go below €1000.

@River
Yeah, Samsung doesn’t seem to care about EU customers. That’s probably why Chinese brands are taking over here.

Exactly. I stick with Samsung because I like their UI and features, but it’s frustrating. We get the Exynos version at the same price as Snapdragon models in the US. They’re so focused on the US market, even though Apple dominates there.
