Best cheap samsung galaxy phone for my motorcycle?

I’m looking for a cheap phone to use on my motorcycle as a head unit. No data plan needed, just going to use the mobile hotspot from my S22 ultra.

It only needs to run Google Maps and some music apps like Pandora or Spotify. Any recommendations?

A used S20 FE for about $90 on eBay.

That’s a great option for sure! I’ll check those out. Thanks!

Just compare some specs on a site like gsmarena. Screen brightness will likely be your priority.

@Vic
Yeah, I forgot to mention that screen brightness is definitely another requirement.

The FE suggestion is excellent. And buying used is a smart move, even if it’s a different model.

How about considering an 8" tablet? The Tab A9 or Alldocube iPlay50/60 Mini Pros could be good options. The iPlays are probably better, at 8.4".

@Zorion
Those sound like good options, but I don’t think tablets would fit my setup since I don’t have enough space on the bars!

@Zorion
Where are you going to put a tablet on a motorcycle?

It’s an 8.4". I’ve seen bigger navigation systems on bikes.

Or you could consider a used Note 20 Ultra. It’s almost the same as the S20 FE, but with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, which might be useful if you encounter flying stones.

Maybe look into a used Note 10 Plus.

I use a Samsung Galaxy A35 5G. It has moderate battery life, but it’s a good device for regular use.

The display isn’t bright even in normal outdoor conditions.

I’d suggest looking for a used A33 or a Galaxy A25. They have identical specs, just depends if you want it new or used. Anything below the 20 class might become slow and frustrating after a few months.

If you want something small, check out the A series. They have long battery life and low prices. I think the A35 would work well for you.

Yeah, I was also looking at the A15 and A05. I’m trying to find decent budget phones for around $100 or less.

@Caden
Go for the A34 or A35. They’ll be overall better for your needs. Try to avoid the A15 and A05 if you can.

Yeah, those definitely can’t run Maps and play music. Definitely avoid the A15 and A05.

@Caden
You should choose whichever one supports 5G. The A34 5G could also work well for this.

I wasn’t planning on a data plan. Just using my phone’s mobile hotspot.
