Battery Issues with S23 Ultra … Anyone else having this?

Hi everyone
I got my S23 Ultra in the UAE and have been using it for about a year and a half now
I’ve noticed the battery has really dropped off since about the one-year mark

I use my phone a lot for texting, YouTube, YouTube Music, and Bluetooth

How does your S23 Ultra battery hold up?

Also, do you think only using the Samsung ultra-fast charger could speed up battery wear?

Same here with my S23 Ultra … it’s not holding up well

I’ve noticed that my phone barely lasts a full day now … I’m not sure if it’s the updates, the charger, or maybe some recent water damage

Mine lasts until the end of the day without issues … I was just curious since I switched from iPhone and don’t know how quickly Samsung batteries degrade. I never used ultra-fast chargers before the S23, so I have no idea if that affects battery health

My phones tend to lose battery life quickly because I charge them in a not-so-careful way. You could improve your battery life by stopping unnecessary background data usage and notifications. Using a static wallpaper instead of dynamic ones might help too. Some say dark mode helps but I’m not too sure … you could give it a shot

Check your apps … some games drain battery fast

Honestly, I haven’t downloaded any new apps in at least a year :slight_smile: I’m more curious about the overall experience of battery degradation over time

Coming from an iPhone, I really don’t know how quickly Samsung batteries wear out

@Eli
Do you have any antivirus apps on your phone?

No, I don’t use the Samsung built-in one or any third-party apps :slight_smile:

I bought a refurbished Note 20 Ultra back in July … after a couple of months, I turned on battery saver, which limits charging to 85% … I checked the battery health today and it dropped 5% in the first two months and less than 1% the next two months. The issue is that 85% (which is really around 65% of capacity) doesn’t last a full day, so I often have to charge it once or even twice a day

Still a nice phone though
